Issues within the optical system must not be overlooked. Contaminated or damaged protective lenses, optical path misalignment, or an aging laser tube/source can obstruct the laser beam. Regularly cleaning and replacing lenses, as well as calibrating the optical path, can significantly reduce the likelihood of such failures.

System interlocks and incorrect parameters can also prevent laser emission. Issues such as an unclosed safety door, an unopened optical shutter, abnormal software parameters, or a laser source alarm require immediate attention; verify the parameters, check for specific alarm codes, and disengage any active interlock restrictions.

Performing routine maintenance—including water cooling system checks, lens cleaning, and cable inspections—can drastically reduce the probability of sudden laser emission failures.
